Convenient Speed and Incline Controls

There is a feature uniquely found on the Smooth 5.0 treadmill, that allows for easy and convenient adjustments. It is the remote control speed and incline buttons located on the side rails. This offers the stability of holding on to the side rails while making the proper adjustment.

Being able to adjust the speed and incline on the fly can be difficult when you are running or walking on a treadmill, especially if you are maintaining a fast pace. Most treadmills require pressing an increase/decrease button on the console. While you are in motion, you have the off balanced experience of placing and leaving your hand over the console until you get the desired adjustment. The response can be slow and inexact.

With the handrail switch you'll find that the Smooth 5.0 has a very efficient response time to your commands. This is particularly important when you are doing interval and tempo training.
